Aurealis was born in 2024 in La Plata, Argentina, as a result of the search for a musical space for learning, exploration, and enjoyment.
With Marisa Schmidt on oboe, Rubén Molinari on clarinet, Josefina Gómez on alto saxophone, Mariana Larrubia on bass clarinet and Mathias Valente on bassoon and arrangements, our quintet seeks to explore new or little-explored sonorities and timbres in our territory.
Our repertoire includes works by Schumann, Grieg, de Falla, Mozart, Bach, Mendelssohn, Bonneau, Pierné and Fauré.

Marisa Schmidt Oboe She obtained Bachelor and Master diplomas in baroque and classical oboe at the Koninklijk Conservatorium Den Haag in the Netherlands. -
Rubén Molinari Clarinet He was a clarinet soloist in the main orchestras of Buenos Aires and a member of prestigious chamber music ensembles. -
Josefina Gómez Alto Sax She's a saxophone teacher, and a graduate of the Conservatorio Gilardo Gilardi and the Faculty of Arts of the UNLP. -
Mariana Larrubia Clarinet- Bass Clarinet She's a clarinet teacher and band conductor. She's been a member of several orchestras in Buenos Aires and chamber ensembles. -
Mathias Valente Bassoon- Arrangements He plays bassoon and historical bassoon, holds a degree in Orchestral Conducting from UNLP, and arranges for the quintet.
