Civitasolis Reed Quintet is a nonprofit ensemble whose mission is to engage and educate audiences of all ages, backgrounds, and communities in the arts; to create compelling and interactive music concert experiences; to promote and perform new music by and for underrepresented communities; and to engage the wider community through music education, outreach, and service. Since its establishment in 2017, Civitasolis has commissioned approximately two dozen works for reed quintet and has promoted creative musical activities including their online Reed Quintet Miniature Series, Virtual Happy Hour, and Composition Competitions. Civitasolis Reed Quintet was the First Prize Winner of the Senior Mixed Instrumental Division at the 2021 Coltman Chamber Music Competition and has performed at North American Saxophone Alliance and ICA International Clarinetfest conferences.

  • Luis Gallo Quintero oboist Colombian oboist and doctoral student at Florida State University, Luis performs with the Jacksonville, Panama City, Tallahassee, and Ocala orchestras.
  • Amy Humberd clarinetist Amy serves as Instructor of Clarinet at Lee University and serves on faculty at Blue Lake FIne Arts Camp.
  • Beth King-Bennett saxophonist Beth serves on the faculty at Dallas College-Richland, Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp, and Great Plains Saxophone Workshop.
  • Alexandra Castro bassoonist Venezuelan bassoonist and doctoral student at University of South Carolina, Alexandra has performed with orchestras across Michigan, Indiana, and Connecticut.
  • Ryan Pereira bass clarinetist Ryan is principal clarinetist for Lehigh Valley Chamber Orchestra and repairs and manufactures custom instruments at Pereira 3D Clarinet Services.
